• Re: Desperate f-14 pilot wanna be here plz help

I would suggest you work hard in math and science classes, and you may consider taking some computer and electronics classes. However, the most important thing is do what you enjoy, so if you really like art or history, there won't be too much of a problem in you taking those classes as long as you always work hard.

Cgreuel, The F-14 is presently being retired, and won't be available in several years when you'd be able to f ly. At that time the Navy will probably be flying the F/A-18E/F and the F-35.

Josh, If you'd like to fly an F-18 variant then your choice is between the Navy and the Marines. To become a pilot in either of these branches you need to be an officer, so you have a few options there.. - Become an enlisted man, work hard, and hope you get comissioned as an officer. - Attend the Naval Academy, and upon graduating you will ...

  • Re: Requirements and probablity of becoming a pilot

The best idea is to not get surgery yet, especially LASIK. I believe I've read that, because they actually cut part of your eye in LASIK, ejections can damage your eyes, which is obviously not a good thing for a pilot.. You can be accepted as a pilot with less than perfect vision and then get a waiver for PRK surgery.

  • Re: Im a Sophmore and im 6'3'' <> Help

I can't say for certain what the height requirement is for pilots in the USAF or USN, but per an email from the ANG, here is the height requirements for pilots: The height requirements for flying are less than 77'' and greaterthan 64''. Additionally the sitting restrictions are less than 40'' andgreater than 33 or 34''. • Re: Have I sabotaged myself?

Hello, I'm not sure if you're still hanging around, but as no one has given you an answer yet, I thought I'd give it a shot.. There are several options available if you desire to become a pilot. If you are willing to fly anything, including helicopters, then the options are ever greater; however, I'm going to assume you wish to fly a ...
