LOGBOOK SUMMARY:
This lovely Robinson R44 Raven II is in excellent condition. It's almost 4 years old and has flown a little more than 400 hours.
It's never been used for training (other than for when the owners have needed their licences re-validated). One of those rare machines that has had just one owner since new, there's very little to say about the history. 400 hours, 3 annuals so far and the next one is due in February. There's no damage history, of course, and they've not had any issues with the aircraft.
There are a couple of Service Bulletins that will need to be done at the next annual - which is in February 2010.
Having been hangared all its life, the paintwork is in extremely good condition. (There are ever so tiny hints of surface corrosion, but ALL Robinsons suffer from this, so it's nothing to worry about).
Inside, the grey leather and grey carpets are hardly worn, and offset the brilliant red paintwork superbly. If you don’t find the white decal to your liking, don’t worry, it is a sticker that will peel off easily to leave a totally red base for your own colour scheme.
As for instrumentation -- you couldn't say that this one is bristling with gadgets, but it has the stuff you need. A great radio, a super Mode S transponder and (of course) the ubiquitous SKyforce III GPS. And, don't forget that the less stuff, the lighter the aircraft, the more you can carry.
You'll love the Bose headsets, which are hard-wired to the aircraft, so no silly batteries required.
I flew this one, and it's obviously well looked after, well flown and well maintained. It's smooth and fast, and it flies like a, errr, Raven II. The current owner hasn't got 1000s of hours, but he took off, flew and landed extremely competently and was very gentle with his pride and joy!
So why is it for sale, you may ask. The owner has decided that he has to pursue other interests now, and an aircraft like this needs to be flown.
It's too nice to go on a school, and it would suit a private pilot down to the ground. With 8 years left to run, and 1800 hours remaining, you'll get many years flying from 175 and still be able to get a great re-sale price in 4 or 5 years time.
This aircraft is keenly priced and is well worth coming to see. If you are coming from abroad, the nearest international airport is Luton, and we'd be delighted to meet you there.
